OT-ish: Michigan-themed PC build

Submitted by McHithard on October 23rd, 2023 at 3:01 PM

I'm going to be putting together a new PC build in the next 8-9 months, and am aiming towards doing a Michigan-themed build since I'll be starting from scratch. Anybody have any examples, input, etc. I can use for inspiration? (And, of course, I'll post pictures when I'm done.)

Clearly the correct answer for a Michigan-themed PC build is to download every piece of spyware on the face of the planet so your private information can be disseminated to a vast network of hackers.

My advice is to use pcpartpicker.com to look for builds and for matching parts, etc. May even be able to find someone in your color scheme

I would expect you won’t be able to get too much maize or blue from a color scheme perspective in terms of parts so if you are looking at that you’d probably need to accomplish it through sleeved cables (easy to acquire in color choices online) and RGB, which is easy enough to customize (fans, mobo, RAM, cpu cooler being the big 4). If you want to go all out, the Lian-Li Strimmer cables are totally unnecessary from a pure build perspective but add RGB to your cables, which can be fun if you want the RGB overload. Of course you could do custom water cooling if you’re aggressive.

Also, using glass and custom print or vinyls/stickers can help with the theming as well, though I’m not as familiar with those.

if you need more help on this give me a shout.
