OT AA News: Only a few weeks left to go to Blimpy's (And bonus- baby born in Michigan Stadium parking lot)
So they're going to shut down Blimpy Burgers in a few weeks to clean out the place.

They still don't have a place to move to, and don't seem to be in a rush. I'm starting to worry this may be it for the place. So if you have a chance for one more visit, take it.

One of the coaches at the University of Michigan Tennis Center got stuck in traffic at Stadium and Main, so they pulled into the Michigan Stadium Parking lot....and had the baby right there.
I had thought there were some rumors going around about a space over on East William, but it appears that this never got traction. That actually wouldn't be a bad spot, however, especially if they do want to provide more space for dining and/or an expanded menu.
I actually took the supervisors here down there for a lunch a couple months ago because I did want to get in at least one more visit, but I will be in Ann Arbor this weekend as well, so I will likely get in my last visit at the original location.
It will seem very strange to see a dorm on that corner.
I hope it won't take that long to find a spot, renovate and re-open. In the meantime, I'm thankful I can get one last triple or quad when I'm back in town visiting this weekend.
I would pay to be that baby. That would be the ultimate fan one-upsmanship
I haven't been to Crazy Jim's in many moons, although I have been living in Ann Arbor for over a decade. Now it is closing and I am moving to L.A. Last week I was able to partake of the gloriousness of a few west coast burgers: Umami's Truffle Burger; a doubIe-double animal style from In-N-Out; a bloody good burger from Ercole's near Manhattan Beach.
Just drove by Blimpy a few minutes ago and the line was out the door. I must revisit before the leaving happens, otherwise I won't be able to forgive myself.
This sucks. I think it will eventually find a new location - it's just too popular not too - but I doubt it will be as convenient.
Do we really need a dorm for grad students? I think dorms are an important part of the undergrad experience, but for grad students, I don't really see the point.
