OT: 5k to Support UofM Cancer Victim

Submitted by maiznblue on

Please help me raise money and help in supporting a great cause. My uncle, only 45 years old, father of 3 boys was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently being treated at University of Michigan Cancer Center. My family and I will be running the Chicago PurpleStride 5k in support of my uncle and all the money goes toward pancreatic cancer research. Any donation would be sincerely appreciated: http://tinyurl.com/4ewtklk

There were about 43,000 individuals in the U.S. who were diagnosed with the disease and 36,800 died from it in 2010 alone.

The prognosis is poor, with fewer than 5% of those diagnosed are still alive after 5 years. Complete remission is rare.

Pancreatic Cancer is sometimes called a "silent killer" because there are no symptoms. This is a great chance to help a cause to raise money for pancreatic cancer awareness and help save a life.

DO SOMETHING GREAT FOR A CAUSE by participating in (or donating to) the Purple Stride Pancreatic Cancer Walk/Run!

Thanks.
