NSIAP: Stu Douglass' podcast

This may have been brought up on here before, but I don't recall it, and I wouldn't apologize for giving Stu Douglass another plug.

Anyway, he has a podcast and has had Beilein and others on it. Here's a Youtube link to that one, but you can find the podcast elsewhere as audio only:

It's cool learning more about some more behind the scenes stuff under Beilein's program or hearing stories. Beilein is aware you should take a drink if the announcers mention he had never been an assistant before. He also mocked analysts for talking about how teams needed to prepare to face his 1-3-1 well after he had stopped running it at Michigan. He's had Brendan Quinn, Stauskas, Duncan, and Ant Wright on other episodes.

Stu mentioned he was a good offensive rebounder for his size and position but one of the first things Beilein said at Michigan was as the 2 he would always be the first one back on D to stop transition. It was his dream to get a tip slam once in a game. On a trip where they played in Europe, Stu flew into the lane on a missed shot and got a tip slam. Then Beilein told him never to do that again.

If any of you are on the Locker Room app (it's like a podcast/sports talk hybrid) he was on with Ant Wright (former Amaker/Beilein player who also hosts a good podcast)

One of the more fun side effects of becoming a basketball school is we have a new generation of former players as talking heads out there.
