NHL CSS 2014 Watchlist Released; 5 for M Hockey on list
NHL Central Scouting released their 2014 "North American Ones to Watch" list this morning which contained 3 hockey commits and 2 guys already on the team
Player | Position | Team | Rating |
---|---|---|---|
Dylan Larkin (2014) | C | USA U-18 | A |
Hayden Lavigne (2014/15) | G | Tri-City | B |
Evan Allen | C | Michigan | C |
Alex Kile | LW | Michigan | C |
|
|
|
|
An 'A' rating means you're a potential first-rounder, 'B' ratings indicats potential mid-round pick, and 'C' is a late round pick.
Dylan is one of only four future NCAA players to get an 'A' rating which would make him a theoretical 5* at this point
Edit: Forgot that Jared Walsh is totally not cool you guys right now

Jared Walsh will not be attending Michigan; it was announced this weekend that he is signing with an OHL team.
He hasn't signed yet, as far as I can tell, but it's being discussed as though it is a foregone conclusion:

I had forgotten about that one. I saw the rumor and figured I'd hold out till I heard something more definitive before writing him off. I will fix

Definitely a "good news, bad news" situation. Nice to see Larkin rated so highly, but losing Walsh hurts. He may have only been a C-rated prospect but the defense is already thin and now they lose their only 2014 D commit? Ouch.
