Michigan Marching Band Halftime Show with Wynton Marsalis and the JLCO
Just wanted to post this here for everyone. There was a board post earlier this week talking about how awesome of a halftime show this was going to be, and the MMB, the JLCO, and Wynton Marsalis definitely fulfilled their end of the bargain. As a former MMB Trumpet, this was my favorite halftime show to watch. Glad this show accompanied an absolute beat down of a top 10 PSU squad!

One of the best, most musical halftime shows during the nearly 60 years I've been attending M Stadium games. Fabulous! Very good changeup from the normal MMB-only shows. Amazing to see a piano (albeit electronic) on the field!

Glad you posted this! I was incredibly excited when they announced this and I knew I'd be coming to AA for our med school reunion. I was a little nervous about how it was going to sound on a football field. The JLCO and MMB knocked it out of the park. Loved how they mixed the two bands and were able to highlight both. I thought it was also pretty cool that most of the stadium stayed in place for half time. Not good for concession sales but what a great environment. Go Blue!
