Michigan’s Second Half Offense

I could be wrong on some of these stats, but I pulled them from a few different Twitter Accounts. I know quite a few came from @JDue51 on twitter.

In the second half Michigan:

  1. Scored a TD on every possession (except for victory formation)
  2. Had no incompletions.
  3. Averaged 9.2 yards per carry.
  4. Never “officially” ran a play on third down. They only faced third down twice, on which OSU was penalized both times.

Thanks for this thread!

Michigan outscored OSU 28-14, OSU needed 17 plays to score their first TD in the second half and 13 more plays to score their second and last TD of the game. That ate up a lot of clock and hurt their own cause.

Kudos for the Michigan defense for making key stops and also putting enough pressure on Stroud.

GO BLUE!!

Agree with all of this.  Amazing second half performance and execution by offense, limiting OSU possessions at same time.  The staff clearly saved some plays for OSU.  Best play calling and execution by of the year was second half yesterday.  Had a friend who has followed college football for a long, long time and not a Michigan fan say he thought Michigan "played" the best game he had ever seen in college football.

Let's talk about those TEs for a second. Combine 3 catches for 22 yards but nevermind that. Those boys were in the trenches and getting to the outside paving the Way. It was beautiful to see. Hats off to All and schoonmaker
