Lamest Thread in All the Land (Honestly, stay away if you're a malcontent)

It's about the MSU boards (feel free to click "back" if you are already disinterested). It's about visitors' posts being routinely deleted on the MSU boards (see the last parentheses). Also, in case this is too much lame text to read, feel free to jump down to the last paragraph... the only bit that's probably worth commentary at all. Anyway, I've noticed in the last couple days that three or so of my posts have been deleted (one post in particular briefly referred to a jokerish Michigan fan as an "obvious troll" before going on to contend that recruits outside the Top250 rankings can be excellent, too... nothing controversial, that's for sure). Now, I fashion myself--and my posting style--as pretty level-headed, well-reasoned (I choose most words deliberately), and nice. I know for instance, that I am yet to disparage anything about MSU (including teams, players, and posters) on those boards. So, I've concluded that I'm either (1) not self-aware enough about my posting style or (2) missing the point in some other way. In the end, I go to the MSU boards from time-to-time, and every now and then I choose to contribute. I realize it isn't my "home board"--whatever that really means. So, I'm not crying "foul!" or anything. Even still, I don't want to waste my time posting if my posts will just be deleted subsequently and quickly, at that. To that end, I'm curious if anyone knows if this is normal. Lastly, though, to venture a guess as to 'why' my posts are deleted: Either, it's a standard op against visitors (unlikely because plenty of douchebaggy Michigan fans' posts stay up), or they just dislike my posting style and don't want it seen on their boards. If the latter is true, then maybe it is because my writing style is verbose, putatively pretentious if you aren't familiar with me (not that anyone cares, but I don't think the 'p' word well describes me... this is just how I write and speak. I'm an academic. I like words.), or--admittedly less likely, but still worth mentioning--they are deleting my posts to serve an agenda of only keeping around Michigan fans' posts that sound wildly uneducated so as to perpetuate the new "walmart wolverine" meme.

I agree with you. Derogatory comments that are not offensive should not be deleted. Considering this is a MICHIGAN football board, we must abide to certain standards.
