Jon Runyan retiring from Congress
Runyan is retiring from Congress in 2014. Just FYI.

The W-Post article was updated to include this, Runyan's statement:
"After a great deal of thought and discussions with my family, I have decided not to seek re-election in 2014. Politics shouldn't be a career and I never intended to make it one. While it has truly been an honor to serve the people of New Jersey’s 3rd congressional District, at this stage in my life, and more importantly, the lives of my three children, spending time with them is my top priority. As I serve out the rest of my term, I will continue to work hard on behalf of the people of South Jersey."

It's a lot easier when you have just one soul. Trying to maintain two is draining as hell.

wake up with the job of, not worrying about the country and what they should do about it, but how are they going to raise $10,000 today if they intend to remain a Congressman till the next term. You can call my thread too political but the reality is with that kind of pressure its tough to be a U.S. Senator or Congressman. I won't even get started on people watching your every move to throw you out of said Congress.
