How short should Sheridan's leash be?

Submitted by Promote RichRod on
I agree 100% that Sheridan deserves the start tomorrow. He presided over one of out best games and while Threet is on the whole better than Sheridan, Threet is not so good to deserve the unassailable start. Sheridan earned another bite at the apple. The question is - how many mistakes do we allow before sending in the Dual Threet? I say he gets 2 mistakes - 1 big like a fumble or INT, and maybe 1 smaller mistake like missing a wide open receiver down the field. Then we put in the unstoppable Threet/Feagin duo. ISQDFTW

I think RR intends to play both of them, at least thats what he's been saying. Whose performance was more impressive: Threet against Purdue, or Shridan against Minnesota?

for missing a reciever down field. It comes to how well he is moving the offense and the decisions he makes. If the offense is stuttering and / or Sheridan makes some questionable throws into coverage and just loks uncomfortable ... well then you have to go with Threet.

if we are losing, shift it up, if we are winning but sheridan looks poor, i would say give him more slack. RR won't pull a QB who is getting the job done ugly, but getting it done, especially since I'm sure he would ideally like to rest threet another week if possible.
