Thanks for the article. Good to see Grimes still say good things about UM. I have not heard of any of his teammates. Are they any good?

Yeah, we look to be in good position with Tony Grimes and a few other defensive backs like Cullen Christian. On another note, Grimes' team went 2-8 (!) last year. Hopefully they can turn it around this year.

I would only be concerned about a recruit's W-L record if he were a QB or RB. David Harris (best LB in a decade) played for Ottawa Hills HS in Grand Rapids, and they were terrible when he was on the team. He was a one-man wrecking crew on defense. Still, Ottawa Hills sucked. Grimes could be the next Woodson, and his HS could go winless.

Not only was he a HS RB (and rushed for over 2,000 yards his senior season), but after Biakabutuka went pro, Carr actually asked Woodson, who had just finished his freshman season, if he was interested in playing some tailback (in addition to CB) to help out the 1996 offense. Woodson declined, but offered to play WR as a compromise. The rest is history.

Is a classic in Ft Wayne. Snyder HS which was our rival at BD, he tore a new hole in HS football. He was simply a badass. Anyone not in the Ft Wayne area was aware of him, but until you saw him play, you finally recognized him.

Yes I remember. I used to live in Ft. Wayne. I don't know how old you are but how pissed were you when the winless Elmhurst Trojans ( I went there for two of my high school years) and THE MAN James Hardy put up the biggest upset I can remember in high school football against Dwenger? Haha that was crazzzy.
