ESPN - Craig Roh is U-M's top 2009 Prospect

Nice article about Big Ten recruiting. Fluff, really. When discussing Michigan, Haubert mentions Forcier, de-commitments, LaLota and Lewan. Michigan's top prospect?
Craig Roh.
Funny, he went to the Under Armour game didn't he? While I do think Roh is a fantastic prospect, ESPN really is turning the screw on Big Will and JT Turner aren't they?

..I just noticed that in Minnesota's update, Haubert drops a bunch of names, but also mentions that Minnesota lost the "top in state recruit."
Gee, can't mention Bryce McNeal by name. What a bunch of idiots.

the link took me to him, I think with those biceps and the cool bandana he would add some much needed international flair to our recruiting

to selling a product. Everyone that moved up was at the UA game.
It is a conspiracy in some sense, but not directed specifically at Michigan. They just want to build hype and sell a product. They signed a huge K with UA, then promote the product with the game, hype up the players, etc. They cater to the uninformed masses, who will watch that game or hear them talk in generalities about players and it will make sense to them because they have ESPN's approval. If ESPN says X is the best recruit, they have credibility in saying so simply because they are ESPN. It is up to those that actually follow football, like blogs + Rivals + Scout, to call them out on their bullshit.
No doubt Roh is a straight up bad ass that will be a great addition to our team. But come on, they have Will listed as a mediocre OL. Hard to take them seriously. JT was overlooked despite great measurables and an excellent AAA game. The list goes on and on.
