...for Michigan earning them their first ever NCAA regional title and their 22nd bid to the NCAA championships.

The team tore it up today, especially on the back nine, carding nine under par on the back nine.

Kim's 8 under for 54 holes was his best ever tournament result and second best in program history.

The guys played awesome today. They have always had the talent, they just have not been able to play well at the same time individually this year for some reason. I'm sure they would have liked to play better at Big Tens but they are peaking at the right time. Lion played great, but Joey is a freshman and his performance is just as impressive.

This is great for the program and Karsten Creek will provide a great test for the guys at Nationals.

Go BLUE!

Good question. He has played pretty well. He has been a little hot and cold at times but overall he has had a good season. I honestly can't answer your question though because I don't know enough about the other freshman in the conference this year. I imagine Illinois, Northwestern and Iowa have all had freshman contributors among others and therefore he has some competition but I just can't say for sure. Sorry, I wish I had a better answer.

Michigan beat Stanford by 28?  Major props to these guys.  When I was in school, we just weren't that good.  Props to the coach.
