Does anyone know how to capture Video off of the MGoBlue media player?
I would like to make a couple of highlight films from the spring game, such as big offensive plays and Tate Forcier's throws and scrambles. While I was able to take in the spring game first hand, its really kind of boring to watch jack kennedy hand off to joey potempo on your laptop.
All I need to know is how to get a hold of that video of the spring game posted on Mgoblue.com and I can do all the slicing and dicing myself.
Regards,
Brian.
I dont know how but that would be sweet.
When you go to real.com and get the real media player they have an option in your web browser to download any streaming video. It's just a little icon that pops up as you hover over the screen that the video is playing on. After you download the video you can do with it what you please.
That is cool.
I have a fairly weak internet connection and watching the streaming video is impossible because it's so choppy. Maybe this will work.
Orbit "GetIt" is another program that works similarly to the RealPlayer.
is the video choppy for anyone? it is unwatchable for me.
someone needs to find how to extract the .wma (Windows Media) file from this and convert it to mpeg-4 or something so it can be put on Youtube.
I'm recording the direct link ( http://mfile.akamai.com/39651/wmv/univmichigan.download.akamai.com/3965… ) with VLC right now. If the settings I chose are ok, the torrent should be up on mgovideo in about 2 hours. Doesn't youtube have a time limit?
Yeah, 10 minutes. You can always chop it up into different pieces though.
By the way, I have some extra bball season stuff coming up on mgovideo (Iowa 1st round BTT game, last game against Minny)

Cool. Uploads are good. September seems so far away right now.
So much for my mad network capturing skillz. First try looked good but no sound. I've got about an hour left on my second try. I'm just going to upload a torrent of the whole thing. If someone wants to edit it into 10 minute segments, go for it. I think most people will just stream it from mgoblue.

I can live without the sound on this one.

Yeah me too. The play by play is terrible but here it is with sound anyway: http://mgovideo.com/index.php?page=torrent-details&id=2be9b8e46d35ac741…
I got an error in WMP but it plays in VLC.
Will I be able to to the same with a mac?
Can anyone help out here? I've got a new model MacBook Pro with Firefox 3.1b3 running.
I can't watch the video's on MGoBlue.com - I get an error about installing a plugin?
Do I just need to downgrade to another browser? Any ideas?
I can't believe I'm the only M fan with a Mac!
Thanks!

On Mac *or* PC. Use Safari.

In Safari, at least I don't get any error messages. But, it just spins and spins, never actually plays.
All I see is that "Loading" animation where the video should be...
Anyone else seen this issue?
Got it on Firefox too.
I watched about a half hour of it live, but now I'm getting nothing.
I've seen this sometimes before with things that had been streamed live and are now archived. I think that's something that needs to be changed on their end.
