Brad Hawkins prep school update

Brad Hawkins had 14 receptions for 208 yards in Suffold's most recent 48-41 OT win.

"Right now, I'm still committed. I'm still committed to Michigan, right now. Things are going well with them," he said. "So nothing has changed. I'm still committed, I'm still loyal to them."

But Hawkins is still, at least, open to hearing from the multiple suitors to come through Suffield. And he admits that Rutgers is the team recruiting him hardest.

"They are just saying they would love to have me and they need receivers," said Hawkins.

Hawkins says he's contacted by Rutgers wide receivers coach Jafar Williams every other day, while he hears from Iowa and Michigan coaches a couple times per week.

According to Hawkins, Michigan will still take him despite him not qualifying initially. Hence, when he speaks to passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach Jedd Fisch, they discuss other things.

"I already know where I stand," said Hawkins. "That's been discussed, so we just talk about how I'm doing."
