OT: Minor League Baseball teams near you/parks you've been to
Major league games are great, but they murder your wallet and you probably aren't going to a handful or more of them a year unless you're affluent.
I love going to minor league games. I have a stadium that just got built in my hometown within walking distance and there's one I live a short drive from for 9 months a year when at school.
I've been to
- Fifth Third Field in Toledo (Hens killed Columbus 10-0 tonight)
- Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park
- Great Lakes Loons in Midland
- Pensacola Blue Wahoos
- Jimmy Johns Field in Utica, MI
Durham Bulls, old stadium and the new one. Last time I was there it was 97 degrees at 11pm. Also been to see the Everett Aquasox. I think that's it.
Toledo and Louisville. Both are great ballparks
Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio is really nice. It's where the Columbus Clippers play. Would definitely reccomend.
Harbor Park, home of the Norfolk Tides is awesome.
in Clearwater, FL. I've had season tickets for a few seasons now... you really can't beat minor league baseball if you want a cheap family activity or if you just want a place to go where you can find dollar beers and boo at the field ump in person.
