The guy has clearly done a bit of research on Michigan's players and has yet to mispronounce a name, which is a nice change from the announcers on previous streams.
Well, it is a California school - they do love them some softball out there. It's kinda like how some of those small East Coast schools like Iona, Manhattan, or St. Joseph's get better b-ball crowds than lower-tier major conference schools.
Definitely enjoying it, hope we can get our bats going soon!
Bottom 2nd, still 0-0.
Someone just got a trivia question right and won free haircuts for everyone in his or her row.
Top 3rd, still 0-0.
A child named Amber just won a race and a coupon to Jersey Mike's.
Sweet still hosing down runners from behind the plate.
Pitchers' duel so far. Hope Wagner can keep holding them down until we get some O going.
Romero gets unintentionally-intentionally walked, and scores a few batters later on a sac fly. 1-0 Michigan.
So, the announcer just called Driesenga our ace... Overall, the production value on this is pretty solid for a random livestream, but that's just a bit off target. :)
I'm not going but I'm very jealous. Great couple of games tomorrow.
You'd need to upload them to a free image host like imgur, then copy the link and paste it in the popup that shows when you click the picture icon in the post interface.
Just in case BrewMom wants another instruction format or wants to do something else, I put the most common "I don't know how to put this into a post" answers in a sticky a few years back.
Another unintentional-intentional walk to Romero, couldn't make them pay this time, though. Still 1-0, going into the bottom of the 5th.
I'm not a baseball fan but I have an extremely tough time believing Romero has the power to scare a major league pitcher.
I believe he was being sarcastic.

Still 1-0 heading into the 6th.
Bases loaded now with one out in top 6th.
Haylie Wagner in to pinch hit.
Wolverines push one across on the strength of some CSF errors, but leave them loaded. 2-0 now, heading into the bottom of the 6th.
Michigan takes a 2-0 lead but leave the bases loaded with Romo on deck, which is a bit of a shame. Thought for a second that she might have an opportunity to swing the bat.
Don't want to jinx it, but Wagner and the defense has been very good and 2-0 may very well be enough.
Still 2-0 heading into the 7th. Romo leading off ... will they pitch to her? Doubtful.
Answer: nope. 4 walks, no at-bats tonight for Romero.
A string of singles plates a run. Bases still juiced, no outs, 3-0 Maize & Blue.
Great time to have a big inning. Take some positive momentum into tomorrow.
Well, that escalated quickly. 9-0 now. Romo sets a new career high with 5 (!!!) walks on the evening. Her OBP is certainly going to improve.
Great job by this team tonight. A true road game at night, at a stadium with a pretty decent atmosphere, against a team that, while not a powerhouse, is likely better than most Big Ten teams. Having to battle through a lot of frustration offensively before finally finding their groove in a major way. This is a good win.
Also no one in NCAA history has had more than 5 walks in a game that didn't feature extra innings. The two players to draw 6 walks in a game did so in games of 10 and 25 (!) innings.
That's 24 walks and 4 HBP in 71 plate appearances for Romero. .500 Batting Average, .690 OBP and .976 Slugging.
Seriously, even if you don't care that much about softball, make a trip to Alumni Field this year or next so you can watch one of the most dominant athletes in Michigan history.
I second that strongly! I have been really disappointed to not be able to attend a game the last two years, but I finally will be able to make a couple this year. So excited to finally see Romero live in action, after having seen her on TV a number of times. And the rest of the team as well, of course.
There isn't a player in the country that I'd rather have on my team than Romo, but I think Lauren Chamberlain is the big favorite to win POY this season because she's a senior and will break the all-time home run record.
9-0 is your final. CSF loads 'em up in the Bottom of the 7th, but can't get a run across as a soft floater to 1st seals the deal. Major challenges in the next couple of days for the team, so they did well to keep their focus and get the job done against a decent mid-major.
In 7 games against ranked teams we have only allowed 18 runs. Not too shabby.
