Big win for the baseballers. The team returns to action on Tuesday against Oakland.

Benedetti is having a nice freshman season. He's now batting .310 and has knocked in 18 runs. Could be in line for the Big Ten all-freshman team.
For those who haven't been following, Nebraska took the first two games of this weekend's series. Michigan is now 9-9 in the Big Ten, tied for fifth. It's unlikely that the Wolverines finish in the top three, so it might actually be better for them to finish 6th or 7th (rather than 4th or 5th) and not be in the initial four-team bracket with Indiana in the conference tournament.
Team | Record | Pct. | Record | Pct. |

4. Michigan State | 8-7 | .533 | 24-17 | .585 |
5. Minnesota | 9-9 | .500 | 22-16 | .579 |
Michigan | 9-9 | .500 | 19-24-1 | .443 |
7. Iowa | 7-8 | .467 | 25-15 | .625 |

Everything that Clint Nebraska hoped would happen last year after his splashy signing
with the Seattle Sounders is happening now.
