DSU's Band

Anyone else disappointed in Delaware State's Band? I thought they had great potential and some good ideas. They very much lacked polish. However, I was pleased that the crowd gave them a nice cheer at the end of their half-time show.

I heard an interesting comment before the game. Students were having a tough time getting rid of tickets for Delaware St. tickets for a Football Game. Instead, students were selling tickets to a band concert, with a Football Game before and after it.

Just got home from the game. I thought the DSU band was great. Someone mentioned the Drum Major standing there in a crane stance for a couple of minutes. They were great, and the dance team was hot. The band was the highlight of their day. They also had a greasy little fight ditty in the 2nd qtr., kinda funky. Their cheerleaders were getting down. That was cool when their band joined in on the wave. The band and the team were good sports today. I'm sure getting their A$$ kicked was tough, but they were gracious in defeat.

the DSU band was awesome, especially considering how few they were in numbers. I thought to myself that the Michigan band better have something really good to follow them. Then the announcer uttered the word "Opera". FAIL.

I sat in the endzone next to the band in row A and heard them the whole game. Usually I hate listening to the opposing teams band and would prefer listening to our band, but I have to say I really enjoyed listening to Del St yesterday. They were not only entertaining but they really seemed to be having a good time. When they walked past us after the halftime show you could tell they really appreciated the applause they were getting from the crowd. I became a fan of the Del St band yesterday.
