What's your general rooting interest rule? Picks this weekend?

Few important/relevant games this weekend.  As a rule, I generally like chaos, and it seems most people like big upsets when it doesn't involve their team. Others prefer chalk. As nice as it was to see OSU got absolutely embarrassed, and in such humiliating fashion, as a primetime ABC game...it doesn't actually benefit Michigan very much. And actually the loss is causing OSU to fix problems that they may not have fixed, had they not lost.  (Sidenote: I feel like the difference between OSU and Michigan on defense is that the Michigan defense is greater than the sum of its parts, where OSU's defense is good because they have so many athletes, not necessarily because of the scheme or playcalling)

So this weekends games:

Are you rooting for Clemson or FSU?

Texas or Ok St?

ND or Navy?

UGA or Fla?

Oklahoma or KState?

PSU or Iowa?

Purdue or MSU?

It seems as though (assuming M wins out) that the toughest competition are LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, and Clemson.  I add Clemson because if they were to drop a game, I would guess Michigan and perhaps even Oklahoma (should they win out) would jump them due to poor SOS.  Even a game liek Purdue vs MSU...I am thinking I want all Michigan opponents to win every game because it boosts the SOS. But in my heart, I want Iowa and Purdue to roll this weekend.

Clemson or FSU? - FSU since a one-loss Clemson would give us better playoff position.

Texas or Ok St? - Ok St because Texas could potentially steal a playoff spot from us.

ND or Navy? - Navy because ND could potentially steal a playoff spot from us.

UGA or Fla? - I don't think it matters.  Slight preference for Florida since UGA is the better team and thus more dangerous if we get matched up with them in the playoffs.

Oklahoma or KState? - KState for sure.

PSU or Iowa? - PSU to improve our resume.  Prefer it to be a close game though so that PSU has to pull out all the stops to win.

Purdue or MSU? - Prefer MSU for the sake of our resume, but don't be sad if Purdue takes it.

One game you didn't ask about is Wisco vs NW.  I think we want NW in that since it could decide the B10 West.  We have nothing to prove if we beat Wisco again in the Big Ten Championship, but it would be nice to drub NW and prove that our struggles against them were just a fluke.

I cannot imagine any situation in which I would root for Notre Dame. They are my favorite team to root against, especially when they are on NBC and the announcers don't even pretend to be impartial. ND is arrogant and their independence is so obnoxious to the college football world.

FSU over Clemson...Clemson's season has been so easy, they could finish 13-0 and still wouldn't deserve a spot in the CFP.

Purdue over MSU...sure it's better for Michigan's SOS if MSU can sneak back into the top 25. But state is supposed to be bad at football. So let them be bad.

Pretty simple.

Root for teams ahead of M to lose.

Root for any team within reach to overtake M in polls to lose.

Always root for Notre Shame to lose (already mentioned).

Always root for tPOSu to lose (bye week).

Root for B1G East teams to lose.

Root for teams M has beaten to win.

Rooting for Purdue to win B1G west or secondly Iowa (revenge tour continued).  Rather not play an opponent for 2nd time in CCG.

you should only root for who you have $$ on.

If you are rooting for a team other than your alma, and there is no $$ involved, you are a fan boy jagoff
