Michigan remains tied for first in the Big Ten
With Michigan State's loss @ Wisconsin today, Michigan and Michigan State remain tied in the Big Ten at 9-2. Michigan and Michigan State play again on February 23rd (Two weeks from today.) Seven games remain the the Big Ten, here are Michigan and Michigan States final seven games:

MSU: NW, Nebraska, @Purdue, @U-M, Illinois, Iowa, @OSU

I haven't seen it talked about a lot but the team is in the midst of a 5 game 13 day stretch which includes games from the second gauntlet so this could at least partly explain the lackluster performance. This definitely doesn't explain all of it especially since they beat Nebraska soundly. They'll have to pick it up but they have at least eight games to get back to playing great ball before the Tournament. Hopefully we can get the regular season title and continue to get better. Should be interesting to see Tuesday's contest.

without a game will help Beilein make the team get better. I still agree that it will be a grind, just not the same grind as other B1G teams that used up the "bye week."

Anyone who is feeling even a twinge of dissatisfaction with us being tied for first:
Just remember how you felt when we were 8-4 and the news came that McGary was having back surgery that would probably end his season. I think 99-100% of us would have taken a 9-2 record and first-place tie if it had been offered. At that point, I was concerned we might not even make the tournament. Big Ten title? That wasn't even on the radar.

how awesome is the rest of the season going to be?
possibly first win at osu in forever
chance at home to sweep sparty
closing out the season with crene at the crysler.
i want all three of those games bad. couldnt even pick which i want the most.
im expecting an A+ effort tuesday.
