Holy crap, 50 shots, babycakes! to 20 for them.
Oh, and boo! spring forward tonight. :P
next weekend, I'm going! How soon will the next round's playoff tickets become available? WMU is just a 45-minute drive from home, South Bend even a bit closer...
This team has really developed into a dangerous force over the last month or so. It took most of the season to put it all together, but there's no better time to be the hottest team around than playoff time!
I don't want to go to western. I think Michigan will nail notre dame if they play them. Last time in south bend, Michigan scored a ton. The problem was they weren't playing well on defense and the goaltending was bad.
If Michigan keeps playing like they did tonight, they will end their season with a win. That was domination. At one point the shots on goal were 39-9.

If Staee loses tonight @ Alaska/Fairbanks, then U of M plays as the #7 seed at ND.
-or-
If Staee beats Alaska/Fairbanks, Michigan is the #6 seed and plays @WMU.
...and we won't know until late this evening, as that game is a 7:05 start.
What I saw they completely overmatched Northern in every facet.
Helps when your Goalie is so solid like that - trickle-down effect cannot be underestimated in hockey, a sport where mistakes will be made.
Great stuff, very much looking forward to the next round. A team with a low seed, not much expectation, but now on a roll, playing their best hockey of the season and fearless - dangerous, very dangerous.
So, I have no idea about this:
Is there any chance we get into the NCAAs? Is there an auto-bid for the CCHA tourney winner?
Forgive my hockey ignorance.
Think it is only if we win out we are in on the auto bid. Correct if wrong please.
Poor reg season means no at-large for us.
Yes, Mason Cup or bust.
Wait, no victory drinking thread???
Well hell, Sapporo in the bottle, a few Jameson neat after that.

I don't know what else to say about this team. They're becoming everything we thought they could be.

AK 4, FYS 1, so they're playing a third game.

I keep seeing the FYS and pardon my ignorance, but care to give a hint as to what it stands for? I have a hunch that I know but would like to confirm...
Assuming you're not at work or within earshot of small children, this audio should give you answers. Also, I still can't belive what Conboy and Tropp did here; probably the worst thing I've ever seen in NCAA competition and definitely up there at any level.
