I know next to nothing medically, but these write-ups are always very informative and interesting to me. As I do some youth basketball and soccer coaching, it is also always good to know more than less...
Please keep them coming!

3 years ago i was unfortunate enough to have gotten a concusion during a game. I made the mistake of going to the 2009 U-M ND game the next day. the press boxes were almost completed on the exterior, and it was probably the loudest it had ever been in the big house at the time, especially at the end if you remember. It made my head feel 10 times worse.
All i can say regarding concusions, and i know this first hand, is be causcious and take your time. its not worth risking long term damage which may include your life.
TO ALL YOU YOUNGER FOOTBALL PLAYERS OUT THERE.

Interesting stuff. I noticed that most of the time you spell out what abbreviations are for the first usage (unless common enough for a layman), but I didn't see BESS. Is that "Balance Error Scoring System"?
