BBQ Expectations

Submitted by MichiganMan2424 on

With the BBQ finally coming up tomorrow, what are your guys expectations for it? Do you see any commits, and if so who? Do you see possibly any decommits (Dunn/Burbridge)? One thing that particularly interests me is Kalis's coach coming up to talk defense with Mattison. This is how connections with schools are started, and hopefully this could lead to a close connection between the Michigan staff and the coaches of one of the top football high schools in Ohio. Maybe this could be part of the Ohio floodgates opening like Kalis said.

I don't understand why we really need Wormley at DE.  We have the strong side covered with Brown and Godin and weak side taken by Ojemudia and Strobel?   I suppose Matt could slide inside at points, as well as Mario taking reps at LB, but at first glance the position is full and Wormley isn't in the "so elite you can't pass him up" category.

I would love to see Pipkins commit... I would like more attention on Yuri Wright. I think if we gave him a bit more attention we could land us a great defensive back.

I expect Pipkins, Darboh, and perhaps Thomas to commit.  At least 2 of the 3.

On the basketball side, I expect Zakarie Irvin to commit.

Bdsisme it.

I read on a paid post that there are at least two 2013 prospects planning on attending: Ty Isaac, a running back from Illinois, and an offensive tackle (something) Bosch.  Yet I did not see them on any list of those attending the BBQ.  Are they still coming?  Are there others attending who are not listed?  What about the OT (something) Fox?  Just curious.

Burbridge to MSU. 247 has Payton and Caroo not in to us. Somebody above mentioned we're out on Diggs. That leaves Madaris, Powe, Darboh and Stanford. I don't think we'll get Stanford though. He seems really high on us, but Washington doesn't seem to be as high on us. It would depend on how much they really want to be a package deal. Any opinions?
