Raymon taylor's Sr. season

http://youtu.be/HhjxNBt33UA

3 star 4 star

I am in total agreement with you about the stars. But the more offers you collect does not mean you're the better player. I have followed not just ray but the whole Highland Park/Detroit area.

Look at Edward Thomas from SE last year....one of the top Ath in the state....but because of his grades didnt get the recognition as a DG or Rob Bolden... but played S,QB, P, K..

sometimes a recruiter might shy away from an athlete because he doesnt feel that he will make the grade therefore receiving less offers as others... But when a person does pass his ACT and becomes NCAA Clearing House qualified things open back up mighty quick... you will be surprised at the colleges that are recruiting Raymon Taylor.

I will tell you this much when you notice a lot of offers in the big ten one offers and the other follows...just because you did your homework and the other colleges follow.....At this point when a school visit you they really want you.

Another thing you have to consider is a teams schedule. I can play a bunch of weak teams and PAT my stats or I could play the toughest teams and be D1 ready. You chose.

So a star does not mean anything....but this kid Raymon T. could really play...offense or defense....

Not to be negative

It was said that RR recruits harder in other states and not in his own back yard....just from having my ear to the ground...He will not be a wolverine...just based on RR not going harder after Michigan (in State) recruits....MSU

Not His dad

Just a fan and really had a chance to follow this kid closely. He has come a long way and did get a well deserved scholarship and that is what its all about. I take my hat off to great coaches such as Dortch of Highland Park and some of the other coaches who work and develop talent with what they're given opposed to recruiting players and building dynasties. You are only as good as your talent.

You are right about the haters. Most people dont know the whole story.

At least someone has seen him

At least someone has seen him play in person instead of relying on some scouting service.

Good observation tommyz and which game did you see.

How many times have a player

How many times have a player flown under the radar and rivals nor Scout had their lasers on.

This kid is the truth....Just put it this way when Michigan and MSU were in touch He had a couple of classes to make up...Now He is ready

@Huss and @magnus

If you depend on recruiting services and not actual facts, then there is something wrong.

Most of the guys having tremendous seasons, take time and look at their schedule and see if their team is not always beating someone by 28, 35 etc. blowouts and patting their stats. Raymon has done a GREAT job playing hard both ways against the top competition. Just look at last year for example. Inkster (Devin Gardener) Andrew Hendrix (Moeller) Norte Dame, Tony Lippett (Crockett) MSU Robert Bolden (OLSM) Penn State just to name a few. Highland Park plays the toughest schedule and both Taylor and Hosley still put up big numbers.

@Magnus...Taylor did dominate at the 7 on 7 camps...I'll get video link for you....For the most part Raymon is very talented and also very humble..... Yes Rich Rod did come to the high school as well as several other schools MSU Dontonio......

@Huss.... Taylor has just stepped into the camp scene and could have been rated higher..but decided to rest his foot during the rest of the summer and concentrate on his grades....and yes his is NCAA ClearingingHouse Ready....

Some things are talent and some things are political.

And Oh yes I did a little research today and checked on in state players

Yes Ohio State has 85 in state players 2010-11

Michigan has 56..you do the math

He is good enough....most players will not last both ways, playing every down...Rivals and Scout are doing a great job...

I am a Michigan fan...but until we keep our best in state then we will continue to have problems.

you never hear of a 4-5 star recruit leave the state of Texas
