Can I selfishly* suggest adding a long snapper to this list? Mark Bolach from Muskegon Catholic Central, class of 1992, never had a bad snap in 4 years as the starting long snapper. Made the snap for Remy Hamilton's game winning field goal against Notre Dame in '94.

Shouldn't Will Muschamp be classified as a strong hire by your definition? He was the coach in waiting at Texas. He had a promise of a five year contract and had been a candidate for several Power 5 jobs.
Obviously he hasn't worked out, but at the time I believe it was considered a win for Florida to take him away from Texas.
Yeah, you're right. I'm dreaming that there are 6 seniors....oh wait, nope. There actually are 6 seniors starting. As for Rush? I didn't say he would go, just that he could. I have given no thought to it.
I'm sure State will be very good on D next year. They are currently number 1 in the country. They can certainly be expected to take a step back when they are losing as much as they are.
State loses at least 6 of 11 starters on defense. Rush is a redshirt Junior and could opt for the pros (I have no idea where he is projected to be taken if at all). They also have a number of seniors listed second on their depth chart. Add in Narduzzi possibly getting a head coaching job and I think it's safe to say MSU will be nowhere near as good on D.
On offense MSU loses 3 of 5 starters on the line but it looks like all of the skill position players will be back.
If Michigan wins we both have 1 loss in conference. Michigan also has to play OSU while State does not this year. Even with a Michigan win there is probably a better chance MSU wins the division thanks to the Penn St loss.
Wetzel's points are that Michigan and the NCAA handed down harsh penalties on the players to shift focus.
Michigan had a cozy relationship with Martin, giving him free tickets, a hotel room at the final four and other things.
Michigan also hired Martin's good friend, Perry Watson who was also Jalen's high school coach. Michigan conveniently hired him in 1991 the year Jalen started at Michigan.
Disassociating with the players was an unusual step. UMass did not disassociate with Camby. None of the players who took cash at SMU were forced to disassociate with the program. When I tried to research this last night the only cases I found where players were forced to disassociate were the Michigan case and USC with Reggie Bush.
Does Michigan owe an apology? I don't think so, but I do think Wetzel makes some fairly good points.
That was my freshman year and you can't overstate how much that hurt. Crawford quickly became the most popular player on the team. The suspension came on the heels of rumors that he wanted to transfer to Washington, those were put to rest IIRC, and then the suspension. Which by the way was the day before the home game against MSU that year.
One last thing, the Crawford suspension was a definite reaction to the Ed Martin scandal. Michigan was hypersensitive about committing a violation and so they investigated when Crawford registered his used Mercedes. That led to the investigation which led to the living arrangement Set discussed being discovered.
He's a huge dick on Twitter. Also, my cousin (an IU grad, FWIW) used to live in the Indianapolis area and had several mutual friends with Dakich. He thinks he is a dick, but he likes him because he's from Northern Indiana where my cousin grew up, plus the IU connection.
Lot's of the problems last night were due to size, but I think the turnovers were the best example of youth and not responding well to a hostile environment.
Muskegon also had Bobby Morse, played for MSU in the 80's, set the Saints franchise record for longest kickoff return for a TD.

Dan Blysma the Penguins coach was from Muskegon - West Michigan Christian High School when not playing junior hockey.
Muskegon has done quite well. I'm glad Bosch mentioned Ruvell Martin - I played with him at MCC and he was a very good athlete obviously. Too bad he was forced to play QB for us since we didn't have an alternate that could have taken advantage of him as a receiver.
Clinton was actually the second to be impeached. Andrew Johnson (17th) was impeached during a dispute with Congress during Reconstruction regarding the dismissal of his Secretary of War. His bio on whitehouse.gov has the details.
#12 in 2007 and #10 in 2008. Seems like the attrition as a result of the coaching change caused more problems than recruiting those years.
We slipped to #20 last year and we are in the high 30's right now. This year seems pretty important. We have only 12 commits according to rivals, everyone above us has closer to 20. Hoke needs to fill out the class obviously, and if he gets 20 total that would probably bump us substantially.
Thanks for pulling this information together. Other than the MAC version of The Horror it shakes out as I'd expect. I'm pro-Hoke so I definitely put a positive spin on it. It is nice to have some numbers to support the theory.
Also worth pointing out is that Hoke was coaching Ball State, a team more often found in the bottom half of the conference. If Hoke had these results at Central or Marshall I would be more disturbed. Ball State's only appearance in a MAC championship game came with Hoke at the helm.
