I've noticed this, too…

I've noticed this, too. Michigan keeps catching strays for some reason. Happened on the Cover 3 podcast as well (though it admittedly came from the least reasonable and most biased person on the show, Danny Kanell). My guess is the tide *wink wink* will turn in a month when everyone is begging Michigan to beat Alabama and punish the SEC.

The o/u for Iowa first half…

The o/u for Iowa first half was 2.5 and they’re hitting the under. I think it’s going to be okay, everyone.

My hot take: I don't think…

My hot take: I don't think 12-1 Bama gets in over a 12-1 Texas in scenario 7, but I do think that if both are 12-1 and both get in under some other scenario that Bama will be seeded above Texas. The committee could justify Bama over Texas if they both get in based on vibes. But if it's about getting a bid or not, I don't think you can justify Bama over Texas, particularly since Texas won in Tuscaloosa.

I also don't think 1-loss non-champ Georgia gets in over champ Texas or champ FSU. Maybe that's assumed, but given your explanation of scenario 8 it seems like you might lean Georgia there.

Agree with the general…

Agree with the general sentiment that the bottom half of these (at least) are snoozers, but even those could become intriguing when they're a fight to stay in the conference after the "great split" (See the link Brian shared in latest Unverified Voracity). The B1G showcase concept only works if the bottom teams have something to play for beyond pride. This is why the loser of your local fantasy football league has some punishment, which keeps people morbidly invested in the "toilet bowl" during the last few weeks of the season.

Agree wholeheartedly with this point. He's conflating this with the Astros scandal, where knowing what pitch is coming is 95% of the battle. Not so in football.

Key missing piece is…

Key missing piece is explosiveness. In terms of success rate, every play is viewed in binary; you succeed or you don't. There's no in-between. There's also no weights. There's no accounting for big successes (e.g., Corum's 44 yd run). They count the same as minor successes and are offset by minor failures. This is why this same metric looked similar for last year's OSU game even though we won by 22 pts.

Any chance covered slot…

Any chance covered slot becomes deadly crack block on crashing CB/S with a QB draw? I'm looking at that play in the redone where Higdon got 2 yards and seeing a touchdown if Shea keeps it.

What an absolute joke. The…

What an absolute joke. The NCAA would be laughable if it didn't continually act against the interests of the victims of grift and abuse in favor of protecting backwards and corrupt institutions and individuals.

More Five Wides

I think more five wide sets would be great. Really neutralizes a pass rush and confuses coverages. Honestly, I just want us to start running Washington State's offense.

Crowdsource It Ya know, someone could pretty easily broadcast their own play-by-play online. Not sure about the legality, but could be better than Brandy. Also not sure anyone has the time and motivation to make it happen.
