I graduated from IU in 2010,

I graduated from IU in 2010, and in my time there the administration seemed to be doing whatever they could to create traditions for the football program. They introduced "the rock" to the stadium in 2006 or 2007 (I think) and I think the team march was introduced sometime while I was a student there as well.

IU has very little "real" football tradition other than the program being terrible. Thus, most students treat gameday as an excuse to party at the tailgate fields and very rarely go to the games themselves. I think the administration thought that by introducing little wrinkles to game day the students would be encouraged to attent games but from what I remember it didn't really work - we all thought it was cheesy too.

If anyone here is actually interested in seeing interesting sports culture at Indiana I cannot recommend enough that you attend Little 500. It can be a frat-shit-show at times but it's unlike anything I've seen on a college campus.

uhhh bye

UNCLE'S HARBAUGH REPORT

Uncle lives across the street from an assistant in the athletic department and has gotten the same cryptic info. The dude he talked to can't and won't give him any specific info - nothing more than "fans will be happy once the 49ers season is done" type o' shit.

Everyone I've talked to that has even a slight connection to UofM administration thinks it's happening, but it seems to be semi-blind optimism from most of them.

The only person against it so far has nothing credible and simply insists that JH wouldn't leave the NFL for college because it's a "step down".
