I'll still buy Nikes because

I'll still buy Nikes because the shoes are durable and stylish. If I boycotted every item that had a less than desirable behind it I would be living under a tree. There are worse things. You could eat at Chick fil a.

Michigan was pounding Ohio

Michigan was pounding Ohio State into the turf on a consistent basis, what, 13 years ago? 10-2 in the last twelve years is insane and all the kids who are being recruited for the future only know this. If you're entering high school it's fair to say that you think Michigan is a shitty football school.

You disagree with something I

You disagree with something I say and am mad that I made fun of someone but you call me a clown and say I'm a five year old? Hmmmmmm

It sucks to be angry all the

It sucks to be angry all the time doesn't it? Anyway, teams go after the best players. I don't really know what else to say. It's pretty simple. We'll see who is on top at the end of the recruiting cycle but we'll have to wait for that. We won't have to wait to find out that you're insufferable. We've known that for a long time now.

I said near the end of his

I said near the end of his career. You could say his last two or three. I didn't make that distinction but last two makes more sense so let's look at the 2006 and 2007 classes.

2006- 13

2007- 12

I didn't mention anything about how well Tressel or whoever was coaching ND at the time recruited so I don't know why you thought that was an important note to make. I'm talking about who is in place now. The attrition that took place was a huge problem along with the talent evaluation during those times.

I like how you only focused on part of my post rather than the entirety. Adding something about trolling also shows the immaturity of your post. I'm sorry you have to live in Canada and have the Grey Cup instead of the Super Bowl but please remove stick from ass.

Those back to back top 8

Those back to back top 8 classes surely have something to do with Tat Gate and a coaching transition. Now that Urban has had one very successfull season behind him (just like Hoke had) we are seeing what he is really capable of. When is the last time Michigan went into Ohio State's feeder school (Glenville) and grabbed their best player? Don't get me wrong, the classes and players Hoke will pull in will be far and away better than what Carr could do near the end of his career and what Rich Rod could bring in, but I don't see top 10 classes being the norm with the coaches ND and OSU have in place.

I know most of us have seen

I know most of us have seen the introductory presser and he only talks about B1G championships. When he addresses the players he asks how many B1G championships. Why no mention of MNCs? Things changed after the implementation of the BCS and now with a playoff they have changed yet again. B1G championships are great but what have they done for Wisconsin?

Or you could root for Ohio

Or you could root for Ohio State because if they win then Michigan has a better chance at the B1G regular season championship.

I agree with you. With Ohio

I agree with you. With Ohio State going 12-0 last season it just reiterates what kind of coach Urban is and he can sell kids on that. If you also factor in how Ohio has the best talent of any school in the mid west then they clearly are at an advantage.

Notre Dame can't be discounted either. Although they are a school that recruits more nationally and are on par with anyone in that regard they've always held that distinction in the mid west. Michigan is surely at a disadvantage compared to these two when it comes to recruiting. It's hard to be third but you need someone like Jim Harbaugh to maintain that recruiting dominance. Hoke will be fine but it will always be an uphill battle with Rose Bowl aspirations and nothing further.

I ended up being ridiculed by

I ended up being ridiculed by his friends as well. Does that make a big difference to you? He can easily block his twitter and facebook accounts. Why do people need to have thousands of followers they've never met? Anyway, he is lying about what he said. I couldn't care less about his love for Ohio State. He plays for Michigan. Like Brabs has posted above, he'll end up changing his tune after being in the program for a while but to hear everyone patting him on the back while he lies is pretty disgusting.

What happened to you? You're

What happened to you? You're just spewing the company line. He said Ohio State specifically. He should get some flack for saying what he said. I'm sure someone had to take it too far but someone always does. High schoolers make dumb mistakes and rarely think about consequences.

When I was in high school I went off roading in my dad's suv and brought it back home with mud caked all over it thinking I could just talk my way out of it and lie. It didn't work. I was punished severely. Sure when all was said and done I apologized because I had learned my lesson but it doesn't mean that what I did wasn't idiotic. What is wrong with paying for your mistakes? It's how we learn not to make the same ones in the future.

Precisely. I'm glad you

Precisely. I'm glad you posted the video of Jalen shooting down Skip's credibility and the lies he has perpetuated about himself.

The game has it's simple beauty with technique being the foremost of the bunch but most of the time it boils down to who is stronger, faster, and more adept at following simple instructions. Kicking brings a delicate balance to a game that is by most measures brutish.

Watching the game last night

Watching the game last night I had one thought on how to describe this team. Hustle. I have never seen a team play so hard against an opponent they were sure to defeat. That speaks to the coaches and the players. The talent is there and if the team can play with heart like that more so than not then they will be Atlanta bound.

While osu has Craft, who is regarded as the best on ball defender in the country, I have been pleasantly surprised by the way Tim mirrors his play on the defensive end. Defense is about effort and technique and Tim has been well versed in both. I believe this is his greatest assest to the team.

Talking about Burke will result in nothing but praise and platitudes on my behalf so I will simply state that he is the best player I have ever watched don the Michigan uniform. The one player I would like to talk about is McGary. Although he is foul prone he is the best outlet passer on the team and the conference. This results in a lot of easy baskets throughout the game and with his time increasing I see it as invaluable.

Saturday will be where this team makes a name for themselves. The ESPN crew will be there and the pressure will be like that of a game in late March. I am very intrigued by this game because Burke is all but gone next year and these are the games that can either elevate your stock or show that you are not worthy of the lottery. Will he hog the ball and depend more on himself or will he play balanced? There are many little story lines that are of great interest for this one and I cannot wait to see it play out.

Getting rid of the field goal

Getting rid of the field goal takes away the man who isn't as physically gifted as the others when it comes to speed, athleticism, and size. Sure you'll always have a few who have some of those characteristics but it gives the everyday man something to aspire to and brings a distinct diversity to the game unlike most others.
