Please scrap this idea. As a former MMB member, performing for a empty Big House is one of the most deflating experiences a Michigan student can have. Show up, support you band, cheerleaders, dance team, and the rest of the students and staff who put in countless hours of work in order to cheer on this team.
I couldn't be more excited. He is the current Assistant Director and Director of the Hockey Band, so the students know him very well. He will, without a doubt, uphold the tradition of excellence the MMB has. I can't really say whether or not he will impliment any big changes. I guess we'll find out once the season comes up.
This was a great idea and The Victors was sung beautifully! Much better than hearing the trio sung over and over again at warp speed (like in most cases). Louis Elbel would be proud.
The backtop truly destroys the legs. We've had so many unnecessary injuries that could have been prevented if turf was in place. This is a great change for MMB members! My sympathy goes out to the roller hockey players though..

The ND and OSU games are not funded by the AD. The band takes care of that.
