Great thread, I love the idea and it has been fun reading everyone's stories. I thought I'd post mine...
I worked at a bilingual school in Honduras for 6 months last year. I arrived to teach the second half of the year and found out that of the 6 other Americans teaching at this school, one of them was also a Michigan grad.
Later during a weekend trip to Honduras' largest lake, I was checking into the hotel and I came across a girl who was wearing a Michigan shirt. A hearty "Go Blue" was exchanged. Turned out she was not alum, she and her boyfriend had both gone to North Carolina, but she grew up in Ann Arbor and went to Pioneer, thus was a big fan.
I am living in Spain and I am hoping that the ESPN link at ATDHE will be showing the game. That's how I watched a couple of our bball games that were shown on ESPN this year. Keep your fingers crossed...
Best of luck to him and maybe down the road we will see a young man who has turned his life around and simply went to GRCC to eventually transfer to the school he really wanted to be at--U of M.
I think we looked a lot better today. I am looking forward to the UFR (much thanks to Brian for doing those every week) this week--I think we will see an overall improvement on the offense side of the ball. The O-line, for the most part, looked much better this week.
Defense obviously continues to be the main concern. We were massively out gained (again) today and big plays continue to kill us. On a bright note, Fitzgerald looked pretty good today--future star at linebacker?
As far as RichRod is concerned--if you are a true blue fan you will back him, through thick and thin. He is our head coach and a proven winner.
The 1976 Orange Bowl was that last time we wore white pants. (From what I am finding on google). MichiganHistorian has some old school video of it too. Honestly, I don't think they look that bad...

I don't know too much about his career at Purdue (really before my major following of college football) but his size is what triggers my curiosity in comparing him to Tate. They are about the same height and Brees is about 20 pounds bigger then Tate--granted that is 20 pounds, but Tate can only get bigger now that he is actually lifting weights. Which triggers another question, how much bigger can we expect Tate to get?
But back to my point, does anyone know Brees' history at Purdue in regards to injury? He was extremely successful there, and was roughly about the same size as Tate is now. Not to mention Brees is more of a pocket passer therefore is more susceptible to being hit. In the NFL Brees had a major shoulder injury at the end of the 2005 season that required surgery, but that seems to be about it.
This may be a decent comparison, any thoughts?

not working in spain either, tells me nbc isn't supported in my area. must be a europe thing.
