I think you approached the ride with the incorrect mindset.

The thrill of the Top Fuel Dragster is pretty much unmatched in the midwest.  It really helps to keep your arms up all the way around.  The second or third pass you really start to enjoy the different elements of the ride

The wait

The accerelation

The are we going to make it over the top

And finally straight down we go,

I have been in line for many hours with my middle school and now senior in HS :( daughter and have never seen anyone fall out,  in fact my daughter's great hope for the ride is to be one of the cars that does not quite make and comes down backwards and you get a two for one,

The ride I can no longer deal with is the Magnum 500 - last time I rode it I thought I was going to break my thighs.

Frickers is closed The Frickers is closed. It has been replaced by a similar type Hamburger place. If the day is nice you could go to the Glenbrook Mall TGIF's they have an outdoor patio and a nice bar. Probably 1 mile from the Coliseum. Or as mentioned the pep rally
Some ideas for Saturday Before and after the game I have lived in FW for 26 years and am about 3 miles from the Coliseum. Standard Parking is 4 dollars, and there is plenty right there. If you like wings and want to give a local place a try go to Buffalo Wings and Ribs http://www.buffalowingsandribs.net/ Good Wings and real close - 5 minutes at most. Pretty small and it does fill up. If you are staying you can order wings and curly fries to go.... The Casa Mare is right across the street (west side) of the Coliseum and has really good Italian and good prices. http://www.casarestaurants.net/locations.aspx Be sure to get the Casa Salad - 1 large for 4 works. For good American "Mexican" Carlos O'Kelly's is right down the street from the Coliseum - strangely the street name is Coliseum. For better Mexican Mexican you can go to Cebolla's located behind Glenbrook Mall on Fernhill. Maybe 10 minutes away, kind of hidden but good. There is also a Granite City Food & Brewery. They are a Micro brewery. Pretty good food. Get the Crispy Waffle Fries with Dip for an appetizer to share. For the party folks your best bet is Piere's http://www.itstheparty.com/ Located maybe 10 minutes from the Coliseum for after the game celebrations. As for hotels the closest ones other than the H.I. are all located along Washington Center Road - 15 minutes from the Coliseum and right off from 69. The Coliseum exit is 112. There is a cluster of hotels at 111 and some at exit 116 Hope this helps and Go Blue!
Peppers You can use cayenne to add some nice heat but not pepper flavor to overwhelm your other spices. One or two per a casserole works to provide some nice heat. If you do not cut it up you can fish it out before serving so no one gets a "special" spoonful. Good luck - if you win post the winner for all to enjoy.
W & B Woodward and Bernstein were played like a fiddle by the then Associate Director of the FBI Mark Felt - passed over on the depth chart by Nixon. Felt thought he should have replaced J Edgar as Director. When that did not occur - well read the books, a leak here, a note there, a hint somewhere else, and a president fell. Sounds like some guys may have slipped on the depth chart and a couple of freshman were lead down a path. Hopefully RR has read history and understands an attempt at a cover-up is 100 times worse than the crime assuming there even was a crime. He could ask Martha Stewart about that. As to malice on the authors part - the question must be why now? The team should be just leaving the volmandtory 24 hours of Sunday meetings and instead of reviewing WMU game prep they are answering texts, twitters, Blog writers and friends incessant questions- not about is Denard faster than Tate but did you spend 1 hour or 1.5 hours lifting Tuesday? Seems like this could have waited until the end of the year collecting specific examples, schedules, dates, and so on from the several current team members and then finish RR off just in time to be fired before the bowl game. Instead they jumped the gun for attention (or fear of facts during a current season not memories of seasons past). Oh well I for one will be cheering when the team runs out and not watching the clock Saturday.
Wedding Blues A couple of years ago I was a the Wedding of a big Michigan fan - on a game day. The reception was during the game and I was able to listen to the end *thanks to WJR that won't happen anymore* in anycase Michigan and when I went to give the score the bride who in all fairness tolerated his insanity made sure I had good news before I could pass on the score. I should also mention the wedding party entered to The Victors.
Hypothermia 2006 It must have been better than the top of the bowl on the South endzone. Only good thing was after half time we were able to move back against the middle rail. The real interesting thing was my 13 year old daughter made us stay to the bitter end. Good thing they sold ponchoes as the forecast was for cool and windy- not cold and sleet Almost died walking to the car. Of course then the sun came out and it was a sunny drive home.
Radios Yes the work - I got a free one a couple of years ago. I also have brought an MP3 Player with an FM radio. It really is interesting to get Beckmans reactions about 4 seconds after the play ends - time delay. But in any case when the action is at the other end the radio helps keep you on top of the details. I usually get end zone seats where you can see the entire field - In my opinion better than 50 yard line seat where you can only see the action between the 40's real easily.
Grew up in Bellevue (over by Grew up in Bellevue (over by Battle Creek). After 4 years in SEC purgatory in Augusta Ga now in Fort Wayne, In. Became a Michigan fan when I was young, probably because they were the only Big 10 team on TV at the time. Attended my first game in 1997 against Ohio State. I can still see Woodson make that punt return. The best part is my second daughter a Michigan Fan and now we need to make our annual trip north for a game. Of course that also means we saw the App State debacle and sat through the sleet at Northwestern one year - all the way to the end even though she was freezing she wanted to stay for the entire game.
