They swore to me if I spouted

They swore to me if I spouted enough legalese the news media would move back on to ISIS or something!

I think the fair thing to do

I think the fair thing to do would be not to summarily fire anyone Monday morning, but to relieve Hoke of all head coaching duties and ask Mattison to run the team.  Hoke is told to stop coming to work and go golf with Weis or something.  I realize there is a risk that Mattison will resign in protest due to his friendship with Hoke.  If that happens then we need to look at DeBord or Moeller, as I assume Carr is not an option due to health issues in the family.  Can't promote Nuss given he may or may not have played a role in putting Shane back in and we don't know which it is at this time.

We have a concrete concussion protocol developed with UMHS.  So starting Monday some investigators are sent out to determine why this protocol was not followed and who is at fault.  People are then discplined and/or terminated based on who exactly did what.  Morris was seen talking to a trainer, tentatively identified as the head trainer by some posters, before coming back in.  So why said trainer didnt intervene is an issue.  Nuss's role also needs to be reviewed.  Hoke of course is where the buck stops so he takes the paid leave while this is reviewed.

Going beyond Hoke's failure

Going beyond Hoke's failure to see this at the stadium, his press conference was just reprehensible.  I didn't see anything. Shane's a tough kid and could have come out if he wanted.  So on and so forth.

How can you fail to grasp that clearly concussion protocols weren't followed, that is wrong, and you need to step up and do something about that.

At this point, the best thing we can do for the future of the program is not to preserve some half assed 6 and 6 season, but start cleaning out and make it so "Michigan doesn't care about player health" doesn't become a negative recruiting pitch our next head coach has to fight against.  Clark and Roseboro are likely gone based on insider chatter, there is nothing to save.  Just do our best to set the stage for the next guy, with apologies to the 2014 seniors who get their last season flushed.

Mike DeBord, Director of

Mike DeBord, Director of Olympic Sports.  On again-off again offensive coordinator for Lloyd Carr and CMU's head coach for a stretch.  On our payroll and the DeBoring offenses look like Oregon compared to what we have now.  Also under him players developed for the most part.

Well Minnesota is not good

Well Minnesota is not good and all beating them shows is that we're a a slightly cheaper vaccuum cleaner.
