Dhani I watched the show last night, he seems really cool. It is also actually a pretty sweet show. Last night he was in Thailand and was training to be a Muy Thai fighter. It was about half travel stuff (like him eating and being accosted by "ladyboy" prostitutes) and half him training and learning about the sport. Also, at the end he fought some guy who was visibly frightened of him, and then Dhani kicked him and KO'd the guy. Neat.
Welsh Ryan Where we were sitting the lights above our heads kept going on and off during the game. So that was nice. Also, it was like sitting at Tiger stadium being a steel I beam holding up the second tier. Basically I could see the M score on the baseline score board and had to bend down to see the NU score on the scoreboard which featured such encouragement as "GO U NU" which I did not understand. On the upside, the door to Ryan field was propped open with a chair, and inside the locker room was unlocked (and looked like a snapshot of the day after football season ended), and the door to the field was propped open with a piece of astroturf.
Tremendous That was the best UFR ever. +1 Million to WLA.
Bacon John Bacon is a lecturer at Michigan, and the best teacher I have ever had. Granted, he had a topic that is pretty easy to hold student's attention (history of college athletics), but he didn't put up with any excuses from anyone - he was strict. He got Bill Martin, Red Berenson, Carol Hutchins, and a couple of former football players to come in and speak, including Jamie Morris and Jim Betts. He is a great writer, too - if you are looking for anything else he wrote he has by far the most comprehensive guide to Michigan Hockey (Blue Ice), and a book he co-wrote with Bo (Bo's Lasting Lessons). Just make sure you have John U Bacon - there is another one without the U.
