Good people on this board. I mention The Ref as my favorite holiday-ish movie and get weird looks most times or "I think....maybe, I've heard of that....maybe..."
It was a Denis Leary vehicle, and he's funny, but Judy Davis and Kevin Spacey absolutely shine in this. And the "wooden cross" line rates amongst my top 5 lines I wish I would have come up with myself in family situations. Only wish Ted Demme lived longer - also really enjoyed Beautiful Girls and Blow.
I prepped myself for "don't care about style points, just win - ugly if needed" both based on the PITA that Indiana is to all teams, the QB situation, and the disappointment of last week. And to be fair to O'Korn I once again scratch my head at the play calling for a new QB. I get the idea of cutting the play book down, but at least give the kid some high % plays to try out - bubble screens and the like. And I'm sure it's just me but do we have a good old fashioned bootleg in the playbook? You know, the one we rode Griese to Tuman toward the 1997 fun? You got Jake Butt, "if he's not open chuck in the seats kid, you're out of the pocket anyway".
TL:DR I think O'Korn did just fine considering everything and the gameplan needs to put him in a better position to succeed (ugh, management speak outside of work)
Seems Michigan State tends to play well in the 1st quarter of most of their games, only to see it start slipping mid-way through Q2. I'm expecting something like this, perhaps even a trick play from deep out of the Dantonio vault and getting a 10pt spot before halftime. However, using this same logic I can see Don Brown turning the screws around said Q2 mid-way point and UM pulling away by Q3. But hey, what do I know.
Beer: Short's Sticky Icky Icky & Lagunita's Born Yesterday.
Food: Enchilada dip and chip myself into fat overload.
Suddenly having flashbacks to 2011 when Tom Kowalski passed suddenly, and from what I remember that came out of nowhere as well (heart disease/failure).
Don't have anything great to add to good stuff already posted. Drew irritated the hell out of me as kid, but once I got older and realized his style was to be contrarian I actually sort of got a kick out of it. Any morning after a big game I'd have fun looking at the Freep headlines and picking which one had to be a Drew's article (too easy, but still made me laugh).
Selfishly I hate losing these local Detroit media people I grew up with. It's like the Detroit kid in me slowly fades away, and Drew has long been a part of it for better and for worse. I miss him already.
But Wisc has been so good at playing the contain game on Barrett. Even if they figure out the jet sweep via their defense they still are going to need to rely on Barrett passing OSU to victory. IMHO I'm okay with that scenario.

Reasonable complaint: Wisc RT moves each play early. I can't help but agree - it's pretty bad.
On the other hand they apparently are ready to excommunicate Damon Webb.

I find it surprisingly easy to root for the team we already beat this year. It could be the BB aged stout doing the talking but I still feel this makes some sense.
