I have some high expectations for this kid. He's going to be a playmaker. Calling All-Big Ten Freshman at least.

One for the broke college students!

Some Shellback Spiced Rum, delicious for the price. With some A&W and a lime slice. A slightly odd combination but don't knock it until you try it. All while trying my hand at smoking some steaks on a charcoal grill. Today's a good day.

i like how poorly nd is handling this

Maybe i just have yet to see this but I know that those players would have been suspended indefinitely by Hoke until everything was handled legally. A good example would be the whole Furman deal. I do think that the NCAA should implement a rule that requires schools to indefinitely suspend players when it comes to legal matters. Let the legal system run its course and let the school internally discipline the player after. It might make players think twice before doing something stupid.

stereotypical buckeye

did anyone else see the guy from columbus ask a completely inelligible question and then get mocked by tomvh? made me laugh lol, way to be a stereotype buddy. i would suggest anybody to go through the link and have a read. i won't post a quote because there is actually a lot of high-quality information throughout.

i'm not going to say that i love espn recruiting rankings

and i know that im a homer but i'll go ahead and say that i have always thought that scout was the most accurate site and that espn's (even though not as agreeable with the other sites) atleast has a sense of logic to it. Yes, they love the SEC country, but for a good reason because they have kind of been dominating. Either way there's always rankings that we will disagree upon. I think that one ranking site should use a type of player efficiency rating in comparison with the amount of the player's usage. For instance, the amount of plays a DL plays divided by amount of defensive plays for the usage percentage and then a point system for efficiency rating. If the player is part of a tackle, one point, half point for a qb hurry/hit, a sack is two points, beating their man but not directly affecting the play would be a half point/quarter point, causing a turnover is two-four points depending on field position/down, and if they manage a touchdown let's say four points. divide the points by the number of plays played to create a per. it would take a lot of film watching but thats what these guys do right? So a player who flashes promise/talent/crazy athleticism would have a smaller PER than a player who plays with consistency and makes plays constantly but lacks elite athleticism, or his arms just aren't long enough he would potentially have a higher ranking. elite atheleticism is something that should be taken into account but it is also easily measured  but this would be a way to potentially quantify a players football iq, instinct, and playmaking ability.

Also, you forgot to project a few players gaining that 5th star on certain recruiting sites :)

so i went over to rcmb

because so little has been happening with our football recruiting i might as well check someone elses out...and to see the meltdown. But the first two threads that i saw were actually pretty sane. one had pics of a scantily clad model (they have their own kate upton..?) Weird, the other had nothing but respectful things to say about L'ville. However, the rest of the threads made me wonder if i would ever want to be part of a fanbase like that.

It made me glad to be a fan of the best university in the world, we may have a couple unruly people but nothing nearly close to as bad as sparty or osu for that matter. Thanks for keeping it classy, for the most part. It's devoted fans like you that make me proud to say that i bleed maize and blue.

ED: that last sentence rhymed. glory.

/s i know

but maybe that is his genius idea. if i can just finish this class before the summer...there will be so many um recruiting sites that can do real people stuff instead of wearing out their f5 key.

i would have to agree

on the amount of PSU fans in NoVa. i've been up in NoVa the past week visiting some friends and it seems like everybody here is psu fans. oh, and a forewarning. do not talk about the whole sandusky situation to a psu fan, nice things are not said.

i double checked

we beat wisconsin by 18 this year. so umm..his info is about as good as mike farrel's?

ED: nvm the quote was "at Wisconsin." my bad. Fuck Him.

i would not be completely against this

under the circumstances that all good councel recruits come to michigan, georgia tech shows urban meyer what running the spread is really about, rutgers turns the B1G a nice profit, and ND continues to be the overrated school where 4/5 star talent is wasted. but honestly, this makes no sense from a geographical standpoint. ND and rutgers being the only viable options of the group and even then we do not need more schools right now.

whats the current over/under of the sec oversigning on schools right now? get the conference up to 18-20 schools...starting cutting the schools that don't  perform well enough on the field or academically until they have a complete super conference that dominates all football while the opponents meant to challenge indiana's meager winning percentage pick up the academic slack left over from the traditional scholastic powerhouses that are auburn and bama.

umm, so what im thinking

is that this guy went and saw the ridiculous list of top prospects that have high interest in michigan and figured he couldn't be wrong in saying that. it's kind of like saying "I gaurantee with 100% accuracy that this class will end up being better than it is right now by signing day!!!"

ps. i always spell gaurantee(garauntee?) wrong. apologies to the grammar nazis.

bacardi oakheart/dr. pepper.

oakheart is about 5 times smoother than the captain morgain private stock. and only 13$ a fifth. so...its basically a broke college kid's best friend.

does any one know

if the 2013 illinois class is just top-heavy or really deep? its starting to sound like we need some pipelines into the state.

i would not say that

he is coming up here on his own (or parents) dime basically every weekend and seems to be pretty stern on his decision date. there's always kids that use their officials to see parts of the country that they would otherwise not be able to afford to visit.  it's not a bad thing. especially if you actually want to explore all of your options which LTT seems to want to do. if i was in his position your damn strait i would take each official. strait to usc, florida, miami, south carolina, and um. if that means that i would be milking my recruiting so be it. he's just having fun and making sure he's choosing the best option that will dictate the rest of his life. no big deal or nothing.

as true as that is

its still osu and they would feel like shit if we stormed the court. at the least, i wanna see a "come at me bro" moment between sullinger and burke.

there should be a write up

like the recruits for you. and your only weakness should be that damn arm length. damaging star rankings on o-lineman for years.

does this mean

i have to stay buckled up a couple days? the way i remember it we get the recruits in pairs.

i would have to guess

that when his recruitment/commitment was occuring that this was around the time of the brionte dunn clusterfuck. somewhere along the lines of we werent interested when he was interested and so forth.

lol

man im here everyday, just stick to reading the posts. i see the chaos that can happen here. yeah i know how it is when we lose. its all lets get devin in there posts. im saying that they do not complain about his size. performance perhaps. trying to make the point that production>size

i for one am excited

dilithium part two? kid can run. these coaches have brought in some serious speed in the back field with him and drake. its nice to see michigan dominate in state recruiting. im proud to  have him on board for the next 4-5 years. welcome dennis!

P.S. its funny when people talk about size. look at our quarterback. he's not the ideal size for his position. he's even small for a dual threat. i do not think people are complaining about him.

do you think

that the various recruiting services talk shit to eachother? like the rivals guy says to the scout guy "told you that guy was just a 3 star, dummy." i bet they do....

so i was thinking

the lions and team 132 are the same on defense. we know the front 4 are good but to me atleast it seems like they have been underachieving. the linebackers have good play but are out of position on a couple key plays. a couple question marks throughout the season. and the secondary has one good safety (delmas/kovacs) and then guys that can make plays yet they can be atrocious at the same time. atleast we have a slightly easier fix. i think we can have like 31 more ppl on scholarship than the lions have on the team. and a fresh crop of 18-27 people a year. i am a die hard lions and m fan and am happy the wolverines can fix these woes within 2 years whereas the lions may take a year of free agency/draft or 5+ years depending on how personell decisions work out. whats that? he was projected as a top 10 pick? and he plays wide receiver? well we'd be stupid not to pick him up in the mid/late first round when we have dire needs elsewhere......

lions...martin?

i would be thrilled if the lions took martin in the mid 2nd/3rd. working the inside with suh. i think he will only play in a 4-3 in the nfl. and the lions need big play-making dt's. they run a 4-3 with an emphasis on the ends going wide for the rush. a three man rotation of suh/fairley/martin and i dont quite remember the rest of the dts would help out the lions run d a lot. martins my favorite from team 132 and itd just be easier if i didnt have to vote for 2 different nfl teams.

oh yeah

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

im not sure

did we beat vt or did beamer beat vt? either way, let the streets of nola run gold with hokes poop.

yes

i dont think he needs to change it. i assumed that people already know that espn's 150 for 2013 is not done yet. thats why its the watchlist.

lol

im not an insider lol. title said 2013 cb almost committed. last sentence of "free" info said his name. just passing it a long.

i dont mean to thread jack but

i dont have many points. i was on wolverine nation and an espn insider said a 2013 cb almost committed. i got to see the name and it was a mister shaq wiggins. would be a huge get in my opinion. says he really likes michigan.

i dont understand

there are way to many assumptions being made about this game already. wait for it. there will be plenty of threads on this come the week of The Game.
