let me start the analysis by forwarding on the request from the owner of this blog that you make a more informative subject header.
Then, what does "hit so stand far" mean?
And, I'm no genius, and I have no inside information about Allen, but my guess is that you'll find out where we stand with Mr. Allen on Signing Day 2010. Any commitments or "top 3" talk you can digest and depend upon at your own peril.
The headliner was informative enough. I knew when I clicked on it that he was seeking information on a kid. He is also just saying that Brandin Hawthorne seems to be doing good so far up at school. (Hands JG a glass of kool aid) because no one can be upset with a cool refreshing glass of kool aid in their possession.
You could have said "I have no helpful information on this subject" by refraining from posting.

He's from Pahokee so we have a shot. However, Tennessee is also recruiting him, and after reading Varsity Blue this morning, I wouldn't be shocked if Lane Kiffin is telling Allen that teams that run a spread offense don't put outside linebackers in the NFL (yes, I realize what I've written).

I also don't understand people who post just to say "you'll know in February" or something along those lines. They are, of course, fully entitled to ignore the recruiting process. But some people enjoy recruiting and closely follow recruits' commitments.
This is like Fan A saying, "who should the Lions draft?" And then Fan B saying, "you'll know as soon as they're picked." Or, "who will win the Masters?" And the response, "whoever has made the fewest shots by the end of Sunday."
If you're not interested in recruiting, why bother posting on a thread about a recruit's top schools?

....after going through what we went through with Beaver, Newsome, Fera, Jones, Graves, and what we did with Roundtree and Stokes, I am slightly sarcastic, yet slightly serious when I recommend everyone just check back in February.
The past week has seen a lot of criticism or confusion about Rich Rod's recruiting. Many are up in arms about too many WRs, or not enough DTs. Truth is about half the class is signed up. And that's a good thing. Yet, we'll probably see de-commits.
And, we'll probably poach more on Signing Day.
And, we'll probably sign 6 guys we've never heard of yet after fall camps.
And, most everyone we're in the running for will change their "top 3" at least twenty times in the next year, depending upon which scouting service they are speaking to.
That's why when I see these posts, my recommendation is just to follow Magnus's blog which informs the fan-base which players Michigan has offered scholarships to. Then, if a player verbally commits, well, cool. But it doesn't mean a thing until February 2010.
And as to your analogy to the Masters and to the Lions' picks, well, isn't that the right way to respond? If ABC asks a coach why they won the game, if the coach said, "Well, I think we scored more points than the other team," well, what's wrong with that?
Sometimes there are very simple answers, and then there are complications. The easy answer to all this is: (1) Michigan either offered a guy, or they didn't offer a guy; (2) the guy is, or isn't, interested in Michigan. If (1) and (2) both = yes, then (3) find out in February 2010 whether the guy signs or not.
We can't all claim the recruiting season is crazy and out of whack when we're the ones making it stupid and crazy by asking if a high school junior, ten months before signing day, is considering us as a "top 3" before he's set foot on any campus. I'm just trying to bring some sensibility back into the process of being a fan of Michigan recruiting.
What are you doing here? If you honestly believe that the answer to "who should the Lions draft" is "whoever they actually draft," or your answer to who will win the Masters is "whoever has the fewest strokes," why do you frequent message boards?
Other fun questions and answers based on your response:
-Q: How will Michigan fare this year? A: Whatever their record is after the regular/bowl season.
-Q: Will the defense be improved? A: Check their numbers after the season and compare to last season.
So, I ask again: if you hate speculating so much, why post on a message board in which members do nothing but speculate and analyze? You could go further: what happened in last week's game (hypothetically) does not matter because it's over -- not worth analyzing or breaking down to see where improvements need to be made.
If you're only interested in black and white or yes and no answers, then you must be pretty frustrated around here on a daily basis. You can recommend following Magnus's blog (many do) or checking back in February. You can say that recruits will change their minds.
But people already know these things. If you're not interested, why post?
....for actual news, which Brian posts about the Michigan sports teams every day. I frequent the MGoBoards to see what garbage McFarlin is spouting off about (today was a classic I see), or to get insight from Magnus or TomVH, or to read a nice little back and forth.
And, I love UFR, it's what got me to the site.
Let me give you the news I like - I like knowing who Michigan is recruiting. If that recruit reciprocates interest, I like to read about that recruit.
I like reading about how the football team is progressing. That's news to get here.
I like reading about hockey and baseball and basketball.
I like reading about the coaching.
All of that shows up on this blog every day.
But I don't think speculating about what 17 year old kids are thinking ten months before they sign a national letter of intent helps control the recruiting beast. That's all.
Fair enough. Just remember: you can't control the recruiting beast!
For the record: I am not a recruiting nut. I digest the information posted. But I generally avoid threads that do not interest me, which is why your post originally piqued my interest.
should of mentioned the interview Brian put up on him where he (Johnson) says he knows Allen top 3, so I was JW if anyone knew I anything.
