Worst Projection??
Shuffling thru the "Tacopants" article on Spawn I came across Brian's preseason woory points for the 2006 season.
2. The offensive line
...was repulsive. Jake Long's moved to left tackle, which makes me nervous about both tackles spots instead of just one. Career backup Mark Bihl has been thrust forward into the starting lineup as of right now -- a bad sign. The other problem areas on the team have new coaches, but the OL is still coached by Andy Moeller -- no wide-eyed hope in the new sheriff a la the defense. A lot can go wrong here.
Brian missed this one by just a smidge, worried about Jake Long has got to be an All Timer. Look out for S. Schilling at the top of the 2011 draft. Any guys you predicted and made a complete whiff on??
When Alan Branch started dropping in the draft I was going ballistic calling for the Lions to move up and draft him. I thought he was going to be a stud in the NFL. Watching the Alamo Bowl in 05 convinced me he was going to be a stud he was great in 06 and I wanted him to stay so bad. He appears useless in the NFL so far he has a chance to turn that around, but that doesn't happen very often.

Thank God I didn't have a blog back when I thought the Colts were crazy for picking Manning over Leaf.

Well right now it looks like Manning was the better choice. But give it some time, we're thinking long term.

hey to be fair, someone posted a link on here to some things Brian wrote in 2005...he was evaluating the recruiting class and he was dead on with Zoltan. He was as glowingly optimistic about the Space Emperor as we all are today.
