Who is the best coach at UM? We have some terrific ones, but coach Plocki is now the all-time leader in BIG Championships in any sport at any BIG school.  Just absolutely remarkable.

Michigan won its sixth straight Big Ten Championship and 25th overall.
Head coach Plocki set a Big Ten record with 24 titles

Michigan has won 24 of the last 28 B1G Championships, all of them won by Bev.

Bev Plocki broke the all-time B1G record for championships by a head coach, passing Doc Counsilman from Indiana Swimming & Diving.

Michigan's all-time record at the B1G Championships is 203-46-1 (.814). Our record at B1Gs under Bev Plocki is 183-15.

Pure domination.

Michigan also locked up the B1G Regular Season Championship a month ago, our 3rd straight.

Both Olivia Karas and freshman phenom Natalie Wojcik tied for the B1G All-Around Championship, both with scores of 39.600

Wojcik also won the B1G Floor Exercise Championship with a score of 9.950. Emma McLean won the B1G Vault Championship with a score of 9.900

The B1G Championship is an automatic bid to NCAA Regionals and Michigan is locked in as the host of the Ann Arbor Regional at Crisler in two weeks. Get your tickets now and come out and watch this team.

Final standings-

  1. #7 Michigan - 197.400
  2. Illinois - 196.650
  3. #17 Nebraska - 196.550
  4. #11 Minnesota - 196.425
  5. #25 Penn State - 196.125

  8. Michigan State - 195.425

Michigan is now 23-5-1 on the season.

I work with a guy and his daughter will be a freshman on the UM women’s gymnastics team next year.  I think his kid is pretty good because she was offered after her freshman year of high school.

Why is Michigan so good at so many sports yet seems to win so few National Championships year after year? You would think just based on luck and amount of contenders it would happen a little more often.... Top 5 regularly in Directors Cup, etc.

Wife was on 1976 team - letter winner.  Finally got a real letter jacket in 2017.

The team has come a looonnnnnggggg way since then, which she readily admits.

Congratulations to Bev Plocki and the entire team.  Strongly suggest you take in some of the NCAA regionals coming up in 2 weeks.
