William Campbell Decommits

So, according to the Scout free board, William Campbell has decommitted from UM and will be taking several visits to other schools. Apparently, the rumor is that he said he wants to play for a national title contender and he's wondering whether or not we're in "rebuilding" mode.

With the transfer of Taylor Hill and the Witherspoon/UM/Rich Rod clearinghouse debacle, you can count me in as officially worried.

There was also a quote from a news article a week or two ago about Teric Jones originally wanting to go to MSU, but, once they landed Baker, they didn't really offer Jones a scholarship. This is the danger of Rich Rod and Co. working the South so hard. He and the coaching staff might very well be alienating the high school coaches in state. I would have no problem with that when you can land big time talent like a Darious Winston or Kevin Newsome, but, when you continue to swing and miss on 4 and 5 star talent in the south, you really have to wonder if its worth the possible strained relationships with high school coaches here in the midwest.

I lost all objectivity and decency ages ago. So with that, fuck Will Campbell. I don't want to hear any of that nonsense like, "well, if he doesn't want to be here, best of luck elsewhere." Fuck that. I'd rather have a system that forces every 5 star player to attend Michigan. Will Campbell can now join the illustrious fuck you list along with other 17 year old black kids: Nick Perry, RoJo, Terelle Pryor, Kevin Newsome, Marcus Witherspoon (fuck him even if it isn't his fault)

I would love to have him here, but if not we will be fine. RR will still pull recruits and we need the ones who want to be here. If he has his doubts in RR then he should go somewhere else. Just don't go out and start worrying about the recruits that have changed their minds it happens at many fo the great college programs and we will win without Campbell or not.
