Which two teams return for 2013-14 schedule / we won't see one team again until 2015
Now that we know we won't see Penn St., Wiscy, and IU until 2013 at the earliest. But for one of them, we won't see them (unless it's in a championship game) unitl 2015 if the rotation established today continues then. I'd hate to not see a Penn State or Wisconsin the next 4 (!) years, but there's a chance that could happen with this setup.
If they go to a 9 game schedule in 2015, that alleviates some of this, but I'd rather see a 10 game Big 10 schedule starting in 2015 to preserve some of these games versus junk games like Delaware St, UMass, Bowling Green, etc.
Not at all in favor of expansion beyond 12 teams because of this.

I do hate not seeing Penn State more often. But, we weren't going to play them the next 2 years anyways,
I'd like to see a 16 team conference, with an 8 team division consisting of former "Big Ten" teams and the other division containing "Big 12, Big East" teams.

Getting it somewhat right for a 12 team league was hard enough. 16 is just too much.

I disagree. With larger divisions, you can preserve more history.

The last two in before Penn St. were MSU and tOSU. That wouldn't be cool.

I never felt Northwestern was a good fit, being the only Private school. They would be one. I think Indiana or Illinois should be the other one.

Not a good fit? They were a founding member in 1895 as was Illinois. Indiana joined a whole 4 years later in 1899. You're really picking terrible schools to throw out...

Who would you move to the other division?

I wouldn't make the divisions based on that logic in the first place.
(avoiding the question)

The more teams you add to a conference, the less important the conference itself becomes in terms of trying to have rivlaries in football. Look at what's happened with adding just one team and not changing the number of games you play against each other. We were teetering on disaster! Imagine the chaos of adding another 4 would do. I hope the ADs and presidents realize this too before it's too late.
