What are the bowls teaching us this season?

Maybe the big 12 was not as good as advertised. 1. Tech gets outplayed by Ole Miss in every way. 2. Okie State, who hung with all the big boys in the conference, got slapped by a team from the 'awful' Pac 10. 3. Mizzou struggles greatly to put away Northwestern. The PAC 10 was not as bad as advertised 1. Granted they've had some favorable matchups, but being undefeated in bowl games speaks for itself. The Big 10 is downright weak this year 1. Our pride and joy with a supposedly great defense gives up over 30 points by halftime to USC. 2. Our third place team can't even score if Georgia tries to hand them the game on a silver platter.

Things aren't looking any better for O$U either. Unless the Big12 is as overrated as they appear to be. I hate it when I'm put in a position to have to root for the Suckeyes.

Only in one circumstance should one root for Ohio State -- it directly benefits Michigan. Since Michigan has no chance in improving its ranking with a win or loss by Ohio State, there should be no reason to root for them. I can see the other side of the coin, it will suck to hear all the big 10 hating commentators, but I'm holding firm with my never root for OSU doctrine. I F!@#ing hate that state.

The Big Ten isn't that strong this year, obviously, but its bowl performance would likely be a lot better if OSU hadn't been selected for the BCS. Put OSU against Georgia and slide everyone else down a notch, and I think the B10 would have done okay.
