"We're not going to Michigan this up" - College football Sunday

Submitted by Honk if Ufer M… on

So I tuned in to ESPNU's College Football Sunday a few minutes ago and they were showing the Notre Dame highlights and when it came to the final play whatever assclown was doing the narrating said, as if this was what ND was saying to themselves: "It's 4th and one, 7 seconds left and ya know, we're not gonna Michigan this up... OH, and THEY ALMOST DID"

So this piece of shit turned Michigan into a synonym for "fuck" as a verb, and turning Michigan, or "to Michigan" into a definition of fucking up!

This happened at the 19 minute mark of the show and it's replaying tonight at 9:30 if you want to watch it.

I  didn't see the start of the show and I don't know any of the hosts or who said that shit.

The thing is that they analyzed the shit out of the Miami play and pointed out 3 or 4 clips that weren't called, a knee supposedly down, and a 12th man on the field and without a helmet on, who was running down to celebrate and even dropped his helmet on the field while the play was still going.

So after that examination showing all the uncalled penalties and the knee, one of the hosts talked about how the refs are supposed to uphold the integrity of the game and how you can't cheat the system, you can't cheat the student athletes, you can't cheat the game.

He said we talk about all these "wonderful" finishes, and "great plays" & then listed the MSU bs which he incorrectly called a punt block 6, plus the Georgia Tech play and the Stanford/Cal band play, and said "these are all wonderful execution plays, things that happened at the echo of the whistle" (wtf?) "To me, this one doesn't "quantify," (idiot) to me, this one wasn't up there, because so many things were overlooked"

Well Jesus Fucking Christ, how dare they mock us as fuck ups and include State's fluke, which included about 12 different instances of luck and 3 key uncalled penalties as one of the great and wonderful plays borne of execution, while giving Miami no credit because they decided to actually examine the play and look for the things that made it illegit?

ESPN showed and discussed our play at least 3 or 4 thousand times and never, never , never, not once, not EVER told the truth about that play in the same way!

They just kept ignoring that Staee clearly lined up in the neutral zone, that, according to other posters here, but I haven't looked at it, they hit the snapper before the one second delay was over, and then that they started holding Wayne Lyons at the 15 all the way to the 4 and without that holding he would have made the tackle starting at the 13 yard line without a doubt!

Considering that play never even would've mattered if the refs didn't screw us in a thousand ways throughout the game up to that point, and the way they pointed out EVERY single detail of how Duke got fucked (Michiganed?), it's a fucking outrage that they can ignore everything shady that happened on the "punt block 6"

Very bad Karma is due these hypocritical bastards!
