W Cross Country 3-peats as B1G Champions
Another year, another championship for Mike McGuire's #7 Wolverines.
Michigan entered today's B1G Championships out in Lincoln, NE with a 70-1 record on the season and obviously the clear favorite to 3-peat as B1G Champions. The only loss coming to #3 New Mexico in a runner-up finish at the Pre-National Invitational.
It was a close race with MSU just trailing by 6 points in the final K, but Michigan pulled away for the team victory finishing with 57 points to #14 MSU's 75.
5th year senior Avery Evenson led Michigan, finishing 3rd individually with a time of 20:12.7. All of Michigan's seven runners finished in the top-30 of the race with 5 in the Top-20.
The Wolverines improve their stellar record to 83-1 on the season and will take a week to train for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on November 9 in Terre Haute, IN. The top-2 teams in the Regional receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championships in Madison, WI.

If there were a championship for generally sucking, Rutgers might actually be in the mix for it.
Well, they won a championship in fencing once.....also, powerboating. Both about 70-80 years ago, I think.
