When did he say he was the best safety on the team? I thought he left in a rather classy way. I can't see how you can say you loved RR and everyone here, but he had to leave when he thought he was the best player and didn't get a chance. I would be pretty bitter.

I read it here a couple of times that Vlad basically said he was the best safety on the roster. I thought that was strange as well if he said that, and looking now I can't find a link. I will accept responsibility for perpetuating this incorrect statement. Again, I wish Vlad the best.

Who knows how many other opportunities he had available to him? CU is in terrible shape right now, but its a BCS school and may have been his only BCS offer. Can't blame him for wanting to stay on the big stage. Best of luck Vlad!

Speaking of CU, there's a rumor out there that Bill McCartney (yes, the same one) will be their next coach. He's 70 years old and hasn't coached since 1994. That'd be pretty wild.
