In other soccer news the USWNT tied Sweden 1-1 in Stockhom on Saturday. Poor marking on a corner gave Sweden the lead (38'), and we needed a late penalty kick by 2nd half sub Megan Rapinoe to tie (87'). Thankfully, no VAR, because Kelley O'Hara got taken down just outside the box.

Carli Lloyd got her 300th cap, becoming the 3rd player to reach that milestone, joining Kristine Lilly (354) and Christie Rampone (311).

On Tuesday the USWNT beat France in Le Havre 2-0. Alex Morgan drew a penalty, which Megan Rapinoe put home in the 5'. Alex later scored in the 19'.

France was missing 6 players due to a COVID outbreak at Olympique Lyonnais. This also affected young US MF Catarina Macario. Though she had not tested positive earlier this month (per 4/2 article on USSoccer.com), even if she had been cleared, she wouldn't have trained for 10 dys, so she wasn't chosen to be on the team for these games.
