U-M Field Hockey BTT Update

Yesterday #6 U-M blanked the #9 Hawkeyes 3-0 (recap). Earlier this afternoon we beat #3 ranked and top seed PSU, 2-1 (box, no recap yet).  Kathryn Peterson scored twice on two penalty shots (3Q, 4Q). Sophia Gladieux made it close late in the 4Q, with an amazing back-to-goal, backhand shot to the opposite top corner. Fortunately, we held them off the remainder of the game.

Sunday U-M faces the winner of the other semi, MD or Nw. It's at noon on BTN.

Revenge against NW!

My daughter plays high school field hockey.  When I see the skills at the D1 college level, it's just amazing.

My daughter just finished her senior season.  7 years playing wrapped up and Season's End Banquet was last night.  Lots of memories and appreciate all the sport has given her and us.

Side note, to all the fathers of Field Hockey players.  Buy a stick, learn to play.  100% awesome to do with your daughter.

We go to most UM home Field Hockey games.  Great team, great venue, and experience that rivals almost any football game I have been to at Michigan.

Totally agree with buying a field hockey stick and learning to play with your daughter. My daughter played through high school and it's a fun sport. And agree with watching UM games too. This was a few years ago, but we flew to Michigan, saw a field hockey game in the morning, a noon football game, and volleyball match in the evening. My daughter was in middle school and a girl from the high school she eventually went to was Michigan's captain at the time.

I just was checking the UM roster to see if there were any Colorado girls on the team (there weren't), but I just noticed that the daughter of Sean Bormet (all-american wrestler at Michigan and current head coach) is on the field hockey team.

I’ve followed field hockey from a distance but my buddy’s daughter just committed for 2025. She’ll also play on our lacrosse team. Needless to say, I’ll be paying much closer attention.
