The trip to OU

Submitted by MGoChiro on
Back during I think the final press conference of the season, Coach Rod said something about the fact that OU came to WVU a few years back in order to learn his "spread" system and ask questions. With all the insanity going on now with the DC job up for grabs and the recruiting being relatively exciting this year, I just remembered him saying the coaching staff was gonna take a trip to OU over the off season. Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? Getting OU's def. scheme and putting it to work for us. I mean would that be such a bad deal? I dont know what the stats may show about OU's defense over the past few years or how long the current DC has been there but it seems to me like OU tends to compete every year in the Big 12 and we're not talking about teams that dont know how to run the spread. Heck more than half the teams in the country run the spread now but it sounds like a good idea to me, lemme know what ya think? I would love to hear if anyone has heard anything or knows what the true purpose in the proposed visit. I know that coaches communicate all the time to talk about scheme's and ideas and such so I just wondered who had information on the subject??????

I thought I had heard that but would it be totally out of the question to have hopson tag along to pick the brains of the DC. And if they did, is this a good thing or what? I dont even know what scheme of defense OU uses, since that seems to be the big topic around here.
