There are...
...days until Tony McGee (TE 1989-1992) sees the Wolverines begin their 2023 with a noon kick against the Pirates at Michigan Stadium!

Well isn't this convenient: #88's last game at Michigan was, well, the one being revisited on the front page in great detail right now!
If you haven't already, how about you watch the WH cut of that great game here to get ready (or follow up) Alex's write-up?
Enjoy.
Today's watch is probably the starkest (and cleanest, imo) style shift we've seen on this series yet. Manufactured by Citizen and given to the Wolverines who participated in the 1981 Bluebonnet Bowl:
The timepeice addition is a nice touch.
As always, thanks for the time and effort put into these post, helps the off season go by quicker.
As is tradition for this number, a couple big boys will be wearing it and catching the football this year. They get featured in today's NIL spotlight: graduate receiver Mathew Harrison and senior tight end Matthew Hibner!

Any post on the number "88" that does not lead with Jim Mandich needs revision IMO. He was the prototype for the modern-day UM tight end. RIP, and thanks.
No disrespect intended to the other great 88's that followed him.
I regret that I only have one "thumbs up" to give... Great comment.
Agreed, Mandich is that #88 archetype I mentioned above. He will come back up in the rotation very soon, and I'm sure there will be plenty of content related to him until then!
Shout out Tim Massaquoi!
I'm already getting the bug. Checking schedules, marquee games, etc.
Man, I hated Brunnel with the heat of a thousand suns.
