Today’s Michigan Marching Band release is the next “Elbel Club” exclusive, 2008 Season Highlights. Recorded on December 7th of that year at Crisler Arena (produced by David Lau of Brookwood Studios per usual), the CD is notably the fourth (!) release of the Scott Boerma era, but also the first of which one John Pasquale appears on the staff. Notable tracks: The Who’s “Who Are You?” and “Pinball Wizard,” Boy Bands Medley, Frankie Valli Medley, “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” 2-song Drumline set, 2-song Fanfare Band set.

On behalf of the Michigan Marching Band, thank you for your gift to The

Elbel Club this season. We successfully completed the University-wide

"Michigan Difference" campaign on December 31, 2008 - gifts to the MMB

during the campaign totaled $16.1 million, or 146% of our original goal. These

gifts supported a wide array of projects, including the building of the Cavender

Tower, the purchase of new uniforms and instruments, as well as many student

scholarships. We also continued the growth of the MMB's endowment funds

to provide support for the Band in perpetuity. Thank you for your friendship

- we hope you enjoy the highlights of the 2008 season.
